It's not open yet, but The Sports Museum of Los Angeles seems to be creating quite a buzz.

Like any smart businessman, Gary Cypres decided to generate a little attention before opening his personal sports museum.

Cypres is one of the top sports memorabilia collectors in the world and his shrine finally opens for regular public viewing this Saturday. We've offered several stories on the collection already, but last week's press preview brought out a variety of reporters.

Nearly every one, even in sometimes-jaded Los Angeles, came away awed, including one Long Beach Press-Telegram columnist who wasn't afraid to put it up against some of those high fallutin' places in Europe.

The LA Daily News offers a laundry list of items featured inside that will make you jealous.
