Curt Flood's family has consigned items from the late outfielder's historic career to the upcoming Louisville auction which was worthy of a show-and-tell on St. Louis TV.

He was one of the better players in baseball during the 1960s, but Curt Flood's career effectively came to a halt once he challenged baseball's reserve clause. The gutsy move turned out to be one of the biggest off-field events in baseball history.

Flood was part of some great St. Louis Cardinal teams and his World Series ring is just one of a number of pieces consigned by the family of the late star to next weekend's Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory auction.

The highlight list includes:

* 1964 St. Louis Cardinals World Series Ring ($15,000-$20,000)

*1963 Rawlings Gold Glove Award ($5,000-$7,000)

*Rosa Parks single signed baseball inscribed to Curt Flood ($1,000-$1,500)

* Baseball signed to Flood by President Bill Clinton ($750-$1,000)

*Various pieces of Curt Flood’s original artwork

There are other Cardinal-related pieces in the auction and Hunt Auctions made the trip St. Louis to show off some of them. Watch the segment on KTVI-TV:
