If you don't have to sell your stuff, consider yourself lucky.

Times are tough.

For those who find themselves in the unenviable position of having to sell their own personal property just to keep the collection agencies at bay and a roof over their heads, it's even tougher.

Unemployed and with few prospects amid plenty of competition, some who eeked out a living in the collectible industry--comic books, sports cards other non-necessities--are now out of work.

Online competition has made it hard to continue, and those who haven't come to the realization that 20 year-old baseball cards aren't going to bail them out, are having a hard time selling--to anyone.
