Canadian-based Classic Auctions is hoping to score with the sale of hockey memorabilia coming directly a former Canadiens' star.

The auction features 896 lots hockey and other sports memorabilia including nearly 100 articles of the Laperriere collection. Items from the personal collections of Ernie Lewis, Bob Bourne, Nicolas Loizou and Carleton McDiarmid are also included in the sale.
Some of the highlights featured in this auction include:
- Jacques Laperriere’s 1972-73 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Ring
- Bob Bourne’s 1981-82 New York Islanders Stanley Cup Championship Ring
- 1923-24 William Paterson V145-1 Hockey Card Complete Set of 40, Including Original Shortprinted Bert Corbeau
- Autographed Boston Bruins Game Worn Jersey – Photo Matched
The auction opened with bidding for four of Laperriere's Stanley Cup rings topping $6,000 each in the opening days. The auction continues until October 21.
The Channel Sports Autographs and Special Events lots totaling over 100 articles are only listed on the company's website where complete descriptions and photographs are available.
