Book Celebrates Sports Cards, Collecting

A new 376-page book will no doubt be on the holiday wish lists of hard-core and beginning collectors as well as sports fans who appreciate the history of the games.

Through Zyrus Press, PSA president Joe Orlando has authored a book entitled "Collecting Sports Legends: The Ultimate Hobby Guide".

In addition to offering insights on the Hall of Fame career of a number of athletes, the book provides crucial tips on how to assemble a world class sports collection.

From Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods, from Wilt Chamberlain to Joe Namath, every major sport is covered. This book contains hundreds of sports memorabilia images, including many of the finest examples in the world.

Orlando also offers his take on the 20 most important cards in the hobby. He told the Wall Street Journal about the focus of his own collection.
