Topps' new internet comedy is a little...different.
Last week, Topps debuted its new internet comedy Back on Topps, starring the Sklar Brothers.
The show has been getting generally good reviews, but if you were expecting box breaks or trips inside the company vault you'll be disappointed. It's not exactly designed for the hard-core collector, but you definitely need to be a sports fan to get some of the jokes.
Pulse 2.0 has been impressed, calling it "the best and funniest web video series on the Internet today, hands-down." It's definitely different--and at less than 7 minutes per episode, not hard to make time for even if it's not your cup of tea.
We showed you episode one last week. #2 and 3 introduce us to the psycho company photographer, a stalker, a couple of Dodgers and a mystery woman as Leyland and Leif Topps look for a controversial angle they can play up on a new baseball card issue.
