Their games are nationally televised. Sports talk radio shows and ESPN discuss their every move. Local TV stations can't get enough.

When you're a big name college football player in the 21st century, everyone knows who you are and what you look like.

It has its advantages, for sure. But for the biggest stars who play on the biggest stage, trying to be a typical college student is virtually impossible.

Autograph collectors, dealers and fans try to get creative and aren't always shy about seeking signatures.

But that's the least of their worries.

The New York Times tells a tale or two about Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy, all of whom find their biggest problem really comes from people who try to lure them into awkward or potentially damaging situations.
