Alex Rodriguez is close to rejoining the Yankees and one dealer, apparently tight with the Yankee third baseman, has launched cache of signed and game-used items.
Sometimes the memorabilia companies don't get everything.
One dealer based in Alex Rodriguez' hometown of Miami has been busy listing ARod items. The seller has listed 33 game-used Alex Rodriguez pieces and also offers 100+ autographed ARod pieces.
Rodriguez has been embroiled in some controversy this spring as a new book hits the market detailing allegations of steroid use. The market for his memorabilia is soft but a return to the playing field could help stem the tide of negative stories.
The bat Rodriguez used to hit his 535th home run is up for sale, offered at nearly $18,000. If you can't swing it, you can put his autographed socks on your fireplace mantle for $149.99.
Game-used bats, cleats and even shower shoes are part of the group of items listed in the dealer's store.
As for Rodriguez, it's been extended spring training in Tampa, where he still has fans, apparently, and is willing to sign autographs.
