Killebrew Autograph a Sweet Memory

A kid who grew up a Red Sox fan remembers a fine summer day when a member of the "other team" gave him a few seconds of his time and created a memory that has lasted a lifetime.

He goes into the nice guy Hall of Famers’ Hall of Fame. Right alongside Brooks Robinson and Ernie Banks.

First ballot.

A small kindness toward a baseball-loving kid during the later stages of his career over 30 years ago is typical of the way Harmon Killebrew treats fans even now. The boy–now a grown writer–and the Hall of Famer himself recently had a "reunion".
