Writer Laments Days of Cheap Packs

The baseball cards today's young adults collected as kids is sometimes dismissed as junk by a lot of collectors. Maybe it was overproduced, but memories of opening packs as a kid weren't much different in the late 1980s and early 90s than they were for kids who grew up in the '50s, '60s and '70s.

One young newspaper writer in Kansas thinks the card companies took the pure joy out of it for future generations by changing the business plan.
