Johnny Callison has died. The former Phillie was a popular guest on the show circuit.
Johnny Callison, who won the 1964 All Star Game with a three-run home run off Dick Radatz in the bottom of the ninth inning, has died after a long illness.
Callison was a phenom in the Phillies organization in the early 60s and spent a fairly long career manning the outfield in Philadelphia and Chicago.
In 1,886 career games, he hit .264 with 226 home runs and 840 RBIs. He finished his career ranked among the leaders in several Phillies offensive categories.
