The Green Bay Packers are taking a whack at the autographed memorabilia market by producing--and selling--their own items via the club's new Hall of Fame website.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, Inc., has developed a new web site which includes an ongoing auction and storefront.

The newly developed site includes historical information covering the Hall of Fame and its inductees. The site also has an auction area which features prints and limited quantities of helmets autographed by Brett Favre and Bart Starr. Also offered in the auction area are limited edition helmets autographed by current and former players and attendees from the 2007 Induction Banquet. The Packers say all autographed items include a club certificate of authenticity.

The site includes a store with that will have exclusive Hall of Fame prints, books and select autographed memorabilia.

Additional regular features include articles on Hall of Fame inductees and information on recent artifacts donated to the Hall including a 1930s autographed football.

Originally established in 1967 as a temporary display in the concourse of the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena across from Lambeau Field, the Hall moved into its own facility in 1976. In 2003, it was relocated to a new, 25,000-square foot facility in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
