eBay, Paypal and Yahoo are stepping up efforts to crack down on phishing e-mails aimed at stealing your money.

If you're actively involved in buying and selling on eBay and also utilize Paypal, you've no doubt gotten your share of e-mails that look like they might have come from either company.

Most collectors have come to realize they're actually from international scam artists, hoping you'll log in through their realistic-looking link and thus surrender your log-in information and password. A lot of people didn't know, however, and found themselves getting scammed. The number of bogus e-mails could be dropping for those who have an e-mail account with Yahoo.

Yahoo has teamed with eBay and Paypal to bring some new technology into the fight.
