The "Committee to Enhance Topps" has made what may be a last-ditch effort to garner support aimed at killing the company's sale offer.
Topps shareholders will decide later this month on the future of the nation's oldest trading card manufacturer. Voting 'yes' on the sale to the Michael Eisner-led groups could mean little immediate change at the company. A 'no' vote, however, is what some dissident members of the Board of Directors are hoping for.
They maintain the company can do better and they've filed more documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including a long letter outlining their objectives.
Here's the PR version.
