A variety of historic baseball items will be on the block when Lelands holds its final auction of 2007.
Yogi Berra’s 1958 Yankees home jersey, and a signed contract by Negro League legend Josh Gibson are among the highlights of the 20th anniversary November catalog auction from Lelands.com.

The auction will be posted online and open for bidding on November 1 and will conclude on November 30. This will be the final catalog auction of the year for the company.

Also included in the 1300 plus-lot auction will be the bat Ted Williams used for his 1956 All Star Game home run (reserve, $5,000); a Babe Ruth game used bat from his first Yankee seasons in the Polo Grounds (reserve, $10,000); a signed Ruth photo from the days he was still playing for the Red Sox (estimate, $5000-$7,000); and Willie Mays’s 1957 Rawlings Gold Glove Award (reserve, $25,000).

The Berra jersey, from Casey Stengel’s last world championship season, has an estimated value company officials say could be as much as $100,000.

The Gibson contract, (signed “Joshua Gibson”), comes from winter ball with Santurce, Puerto Rico, in 1939. (Reserve, $25,000) Gibson signatures are considered especially rare, particularly on legal documents, and the winter leagues were just as important to the Negro League players as their US-based summer leagues

The auction also includes a promissary note relating to the sale of Babe Ruth from the Red Sox to the Yankees (estimate $30,000); A Ted Williams game used bat from the 1950-55 period (reserve, $5,000); a Dale Earnhardt worn race suit (reserve $7500); and Bobby Orr game worn Boston Bruins jersey (reserve, $15,000); and an 1888 Goodwin and Co. round album with its original mailing envelope (estimate $15,000).
