A promoter is suing Rickey Henderson for not showing up for autograph sessions, while the New England Patriots may disappoint signature seekers at this year's Super Bowl. And... who's coming to Upper Deck's swanky Super Bowl bash?

MAB Celebrity Services is claiming all-time stolen base leader Rickey Henderson was a no-show for a couple of autograph sessions it had scheduled. It's no multi-million dollar lawsuit but it did make the New York Daily News.

On the opposite side of the country, the hotel that will be the New England Patriots' home for Super Bowl XLII preparations is not planning on letting autograph seekers anywhere near the team's encampment.

The NFL doesn't want gamblers or anyone else getting close to either team and the Westin plans to comply. "We want to make sure that nothing intrudes on the team," the hotel manager told the Arizona Republic.

The paper also says 2007 Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning, baseball slugger Ken Griffey Jr. and Cy Young Award winner C.C. Sabathia are among the stars expected to turn out at sports-card maker Upper Deck Co.'s VIP Super Bowl Party. The invite-only event is set for 10 p.m. next Thursday at the Myst club in Scottsdale." Four-time Super Bowl winner Joe Montana's name was also on an earlier party notice.
