Historic Autograph Company will launch its latest set on Friday. The company offers $90 ‘packs’ featuring a single autographed item. “Legends of the Hall 2012” features autographed Hall of Fame plaque postcards (both black-and-white and gold versions) as well as the ever-popular Perez-Steele postcard series.
Every signed card is of a player enshrined in Cooperstown and none are ‘cut autographs’. The checklist of players includes Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Charlie Gehringer, Dizzy Dean, Roy Campanella, Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson and a variety of stars from all eras. Included this year is a rare Perez-Steele Joe Cronin.
The autographed cards are housed in a specially designed frame and the box features original artwork showing a batter striking a ball with a filled grandstand as the backdrop. A short history of baseball during the 1930s and the opening of the Hall of Fame is printed on the inside cover of each box.
Each card is authenticated and encapsulated by PSA with every signature numerically graded. All cards are eligible for the PSA Set Registry and are serially numbered to 100 or less. A full checklist is printed on the bottom side of every box. You can see the checklist here.
