High Ranking Vintage Sets Highlight Mile High Auction

Coinciding with this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland, Mile High Card Company’s Summer Auction launched Thursday with some ultra-high grade vintage card sets up for grabs.

The auction, while smaller in lot size compared to traditional MHCC events, offers an array of high-profile cards, memorabilia and sets from all sports.  The auction is separated into two sessions that close on consecutive nights, August 13 and 14 with the latter session dominated by the Todd Hester collection of vintage cards.

George C Miller set Many of the sets being offered in the auction are ranked among the best known in the hobby. Among the marquee items in the sale is a scarce 1933 George C. Miller complete PSA graded set, one that ranks among the leaders on the PSA Set Registry.

“We’re particularly proud of the quality, in all facets of collecting, that this auction offers,”  said MHCC founder and CEO Brian Drent.  “A special thanks to Todd Hester for allowing us to present his extensive collection. Assembled over a span of 30 years, being given the opportunity to work with him has been an absolute privilege.”
