John Carpentier literally wrote the book on Green Bay Packers collectibles. He's been buying and selling memorabilia--and stores--for years.
There wasn't a huge market for Green Bay Packers memorabilia in the early 1990s. Even with a new quarterback named Favre..or was it Farve...the Pack was not yet back.
Still, John Carpentier saw a spark. His timing was perfect. The Packers caught fire and a loyal fan/collector base that was ready to buy and sell did plenty of it in his first store. That was two stores ago.
He's now on his third--this one stocked not only with vintage Packers memorabilia, but vintage sports material of a completely different nature.
