PSA/DNA is handing out free autographs of the late John Wooden as part of a promotion.
Starting today, collectors will be able to receive a free PSA/DNA authenticated oversized 4”x6” trading card of the legendary coach with the purchase of any PSA
Collectors Club Membership. The promotion is limited to 500 and runs only during the month of March 2013.
Wooden passed away in 2010 at age 99 and while extremely generous with his autograph over the years, he hadn't signed in quantity for awhile and his autograph remains in great demand because of his status and the enduring respect he had throughout the sports world.
The 4x6" card was one of the more popular items Wooden to which affixed his name.
He won ten NCAA national championships in a 12-year period, including a record seven consecutive championships, while coaching legends like Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) and Bill Walton at UCLA. The Wizard of Westwood, as Wooden is known, also earned repute for his “Pyramid of Success,” which was used for motivational purposes both in basketball and in life.
Along with the autographed John Wooden card and direct submission privileges, collectors will receive a one-year subscription to the Sports Market Report (a $49 value), a voucher for free grades (up to a $255 value) and a free multi-functional brief case bag.
