For the NASCAR Collector Who Has Everything…

All you have to do is go to a local flea market and you’ll discover people will try to sell anything.  It’s also true some people will buy anything.  We’re about to find out if that’s true once again.  A seller is offering the hearse that transported Dale Earnhardt to his final resting place.

It’s up on eBay, with a minimum bid of $1.5 million.  If that seems a little steep, don’t put it past a car collector with a big bank account to try to work a deal with the owner.

Ten years after his death, Earnhardt remains an icon to fans who continue to buy his cards, autographs and other memorabilia.

The real story here, though, might be that there is bargain hunting–even in the famous hearse market.  The current owner, it seems, is trying to make a whopper of a profit.

You can check out the story from WBTV in Charlotte, not far from what was indeed Dale Senior’s last ride.
