Feller Still Going Strong

He may have signed more autographs than any player in history–and even at age 90, there’s no stopping Rapid Robert.

Bob Feller roars through life his fastball once did. He may not be quite as active as he was a decade ago when he was ‘only’ 80, but getting to an autograph signing is still not a big deal for the Hall of Fame pitcher.

Feller was in Michigan late last week, appearing at a fundraiser for a high school in Grand Rapids.

He’s still not shy about talking with fans either, many of whom aren’t old enough to remember him as a Cleveland ace. Feller’s life was baseball–but he also served in World War II and either subject is fair game.

The Grand Rapids Press was there as Feller put his signature on a few hundred items.
