Times are tough.

For those who find themselves in the unenviable position of having to sell their own personal property just to keep the collection agencies at bay and a roof over their heads, it’s even tougher.

Unemployed and with few prospects amid plenty of competition, some who eeked out a living in the collectible industry–comic books, sports cards other non-necessities–are now out of work.

Online competition has made it hard to continue, and those who haven’t come to the realization that 20 year-old baseball cards aren’t going to bail them out, are having a hard time selling–to anyone.
