eTopps Unveils New Allen & Ginter Football Set

eTopps Allen & Ginter Joe Montana eTopps Allen and Ginter Joe Namath Topps is taking the Allen & Ginter name into a new eTopps Super Bowl champions collection.

Encouraged by the success of the eTopps Allen & Ginter cards, the Topps Company has released a selection of Super Bowl champions football cards. The set features a group of Hall of Fame quarterbacks who have led their teams to Super Bowl titles.

The collection includes Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, John Elway, Joe Namath, Joe Montana and Roger Staubach. The Montana, Elway and Bradshaw were offered Monday and the others will be offered on Monday, January 28th. Elway and Montana cards were issued in quantities of 999 while 749 were made of the Bradshaw.

2008 eTopps Allen & Ginter Roger Staubach "Allen & Ginter traditionally has been a baseball set, but has such mass appeal it made sense to introduce the brand to football," said Topps’ Marketing Director Mark Sapir. "These cards truly capture the essence of the Allen & Ginter brand."

The eTopps football cards will stay true to the A&G design and size, but utilize eTopps technology. Cards will be sequentially numbered.

2008 eTopps Allen & Ginter John Elway While the Allen & Ginter eTopps cards differ in size from regular eTopps cards, they will continue to be encased in standard sized eTopps tamper-evident, plastic cases with an eTopps sticker. The cards will be placed into a fitted frame and then fixed inside of the case.

"We wanted this to be a special set and limited to only players that have not only played in the Super Bowl, but won rings and preformed heroically," Sapir added.

"This is a chance to get not just football subjects in Allen & Ginter, but those who are among the game’s most iconic and collectible players. The A&G sets we have sold in the past on eTopps have been big successes and preformed well in the secondary market.."
