Editor’s Blog: MEARS, Madec, Panini Tour

If you’ve about had enough of Black Friday ads, dive back in where you belong:  shopping for sports memorabilia.

MEARS Online has an auction closing Saturday night.

Highlites include the 1975 Hank Aaron Milwaukee Brewers game used bat (MEARS A10), the 1978 Steve Carlton Home Phillies Game Worn jersey (MEARS A10), thousands of Type 1 newspaper archive photos being sold individually and in large lots,  several vintage game model bats dating back to the 1920s and a lot more.  MEARS auctions are always fun to browse for their variety and very reasonable starting bids and there are some bargains out there right now.

Long-time dealer Andy Madec is merging his business with Mile High Card Company, according to Auction Report.  Madec specializes in PSA-graded vintage cards.

“We are very excited to bring such a great industry veteran and knowledgeable person onto the MHCC staff and know that Andy will help continue to bring growth and great sports memorabilia and cards to future Mile High Card Company auctions” said owner Brian Drent.

Mile High’s latest auction was scheduled to close late Friday night.
