Hold off on the Dodger dogs…jerseys might be a better investment.
The Dodgers Dream Foundation will hold a sports memorabilia silent auction this Saturday, September 20 at Dodger Stadium to benefit the Manny Mota International Foundation. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on over 100 sports collectibles, including a Russell Martin signed game-used bat and signed Dodger catching gear, as well as signed game-used cleats by Dodger outfielder Andre Ethier and pitcher Chad Billingsley.
Some of the other items up for bid include signed baseballs by Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully and Hall of Fame player and manager Yogi Berra; and authentic signed jerseys by Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz, San Diego Padres pitcher Trevor Hoffman, and San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum. The silent auction will take place from 5:30-8:45 p.m. on the club level outside of the Vin Scully Pressbox, and will be open to fans with a ticket to Saturday’s Dodgers-Giants game.
The mission of the Manny Mota International Foundation is to provide educational, health and recreational opportunities for disadvantaged youth and their families in the United States and the Dominican Republic.
