One of the hobby's longest-running events returned to the Valley Forge Convention Center.
The players who were young stars when the "Philly Show" started are now Hall of Famers. Time has a way of sneaking up on events that celebrate 30 year anniversaries. The show that was once run by the Eastern Pennsylvania Sports Collectors Association is now vintage itself.
Hunt Auctions took over ownership of the long running show, which has been shuttling between a couple of cities in recent years. Last weekend, it brought collectors from across the country to the Valley Forge Convention Center.
Willie Mays, Frank Robinson and some ex-Phillies players were signed as autograph guests with the Hall of Famers decidedly more pricey than the rest.
At this show, though, the "stuff" is the star and vintage sports card collectors usually find plenty to buy.
The nearby Norristown Times-Herald paid a visit and offered some coverage.
