He already signs for Upper Deck, but now Muhammad Ali's web site will host an online store with authentic autographs.

No word yet on pricing, but the company that handles Muhammad Ali's name is going to put the sports icon to work signing memorabilia for the official Ali web site.

A news release issued by Ali.com says the store will be the "first and only online store owned and authorized by Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Ali Enterprises."

Autographed memorabilia, posters and books will be part of the inventory.

The release stated: "Each offering in The Champ's store is designed and approved by Ali's team at Muhammad Ali Enterprises. Ali.com offerings are based on requests that you and other Ali fans have made directly to Ali, and on what he and his team have observed in the marketplace."

"Ali.com has worked with designers, architects and artists to create unique displays and design items that highlight Muhammad Ali's personal history. Careful selection has ensured that all of our posters, books, signature memorabilia and other items are of the highest quality."

The site will begin offering items this Thursday--Ali's 66th birthday.

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Ali sold an 80 percent stake in his name and likeness for $50 million in April 2006 to CKX Inc., which also owns Elvis Presley’s estate, along with rights to the “American Idol” television show.

Muhammad Ali Enterprises also has signed a deal with Upper Deck Authenticated to produce action figures and other merchandise that will be available later this year.

In addition, a series of eight Ali cards from American Greetings will hit store shelves this week. They will sell for $3 each, and include "pictures of the champ along with inspirational messages."
