Bonds ball changes hands

From a lucky guy to a wealthy guy…Barry Bonds’ 715th HR ball has a new home.

He normally sells expensive cars. Now, Marc Chase has a new toy. A baseball. One that cost him over $200,000.

Chase, winner of the eBay auction for Barry Bonds’ 715th home run ball, officially acquired the ball today at a news conference in the Bay Area. The lucky seller and man who caught the ball at a Giants’ game earlier this summer, was Andrew Morbitzer.

Chase, a long-time Giants’ fan, owns three auto dealerships, two in California and one in Las Vegas. He bought the ball "on impulse" and now plans to display it at his stores.

The piece of historic sports memorabilia was heavily promoted by eBay before, during and after it’s 10-day run.
