Big Pulls Do Come Out of Old Packs

Josh Cottrell drifted away from his childhood collection of baseball cards.

The 29-year-old man’s brother didn’t.

In fact, Jim Cottrell recently opened a small shop in Balston Spa, NY.   That’s where a visiting Josh decided to spring for a few packs of 2008 Upper Deck Legendary Cuts just for old time’s sake and maybe to help the fledgling store’s bottom line.

Then, as now, the product offered cut signatures of a variety of Hall of Famers and stars.

Josh, an engineer with the family business, made a wise choice.  He pulled one of eight cut autographs featuring a familiar name.

It was newsworthy enough for the local paper to check out.
