Big Card/Autograph Show in Baltimore This Weekend

The second annual Charm City Heroes autograph and collectibles show will be hosted by the Pikesville Hilton, September 30 thru October 2nd. Open to the public, the three- day family oriented event is Baltimore’s largest show.  Autograph signings will take place throughout the weekend while some of the hobby’s high profile sports card and memorabilia dealers set up shop.

Charm City 2 Show“Baltimore has an exceptionally strong sports tradition with very avid and knowledgeable collectors and a diversified fan base,” said Mollie Ann Bracigniano, Charm City Heroes co-promoter and MAB President. ” We are excited to be back working with Schulte Sports (Woodstock, MD) to bring another blockbuster show to Baltimore.”

In addition to the many high profile athletes scheduled to sign: such as Ray Lewis, Ray Rice, Frank Robinson, Reggie Jackson, Rafael Palmeiro, Pete Rose, Raymond Berry, Ted Hendricks, Jim Palmer and Ozzie Newsome, to name just a few, many players from the Baltimore Colts Super Bowl V and Baltimore Orioles 1966 Championship teams will be appearing at the show throughout the weekend.

With the Preakness Stakes held in the city each year, Baltimore knows its horse racing and Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame and Triple Crown winners, Ron Turcotte (HOF 1979), rode Secretariat (TCW 1973), Steve Cauthen (HOF 1994), rode Affirmed (TCW 1978), Jean Cruguet, rode Seattle Slew (TCW 1977), LaFitt Pincay Jr., (HOF 1975), who rode Swale to a Kentucky Derby win in 1984; and Pat Day (HOF 1991) will all be making a rare public signature appearance.

“It’s great to see Charm City Heroes 2 bringing in current and former athletes, including legendary professional jockeys,” said Donnie Miller Jr., 1983 Preakness winning jockey. “This is an extremely rare opportunity for Maryland racing fans to personally meet Hall of Fame and Triple Crown jockeys.”

Fans and collectors will be able to bring in their collectible items to be appraised and consigned to Schulte Auctions and signatures authenticated by PSA/DNA Authentication.
