Details are a bit sketchy but a postal worker's dispute over baseball cards led to a standoff with police in Washington.
The 59-year-old Lacey man held police at bay with a sword for five hours after entering a convenience store with the weapon.
Police say he had left the store, returned with the sword and threatened the worker. Store clerk Danny Horton and several customers managed to avoid the rampage.
From there, it was on to the man's home where the standoff took place. Tear gas didn't do the trick, but officers eventually captured the man, described as a former soldier who has been having emotional issues.
