SCP Auctions will be selling Johnny Manziel’s game-worn, signed and inscribed Texas A&M Aggies home jersey that he wore during six games from his Heisman Trophy winning campaign in 2012. Manziel, a first-round NFL draft pick, is currently battling for the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback job.
The jersey was offered on eBay earlier this year for $300,000 with no takers.
It goes on the block starting August 6 in SCP’s “Mid-Summer Classic” online event at www.scpauctions.com.
The golf ball Rory McIroy tossed into the crowd after winning the British Open last weekend has been consigned to auction by the man who wound up with it.
Green Jacket Auctions, a golf memorabilia specialist, offered $10,000 for it on Twitter after seeing the Irish star heave it toward the stands. Lee Horner, a 49-year old man from West Yorkshire, England, found out about the offer.
Instead of selling it, he’s consigned it to the auction, which closes August 9. ESPN has more below.
