Fans turned out in droves at an Alex Rodriguez autograph session...er..book signing.
Alex Rodriguez has taken plenty of heat from fans and media in New York, but it was a love-fest on Tuesday when the New York Yankees' third baseman showed up to sign copies of the new children's book that bears his name.
ARod did not have a pinch-hitter for this one. He apparently spent a year and a half writing and perfecting it. He was more than happy to sign one if you bought it but leave the baseballs and 8x10s at home...although one person did make a feeble attempt to get him to sign something else while publicists and security officers were busy harrassing the assembled media.
