Armando Galarraga Autographs Proving Popular
He could have pouted and spouted. Instead, Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga proved to be a ‘live and let live’ sort of guy.
It’s served him well.
Galarraga’s forgiveness of Jim Joyce after the umpire’s blown call cost him a perfect game on June 2 has become one of the feel good moments of the 2010 season. It also earned him what’s believed to be a fairly lucrative autograph signing arrangement with Dreams, Inc., the parent company of Mounted Memories.
The perfect game may be the high water mark for Galarraga but collectors and fans are flocking to the baseballs and photos he’s signing.
Galarraga appeared at a signing session in Tampa Tuesday and the company may have been able to add to its depleted stock. The appearances are part of Galarraga’s contract.
You can see what items are out there at the Mounted Memories website.
