Eye-popping vintage card card sales on eBay have been limited lately, but here's one that's either a bargain or overgraded.
A 1948 Leaf Joe DiMaggio card, graded PSA 8 NM-MT sold Thursday night for $7600, nearly $4000 less than the value listed in the Sportscard Market Report.
The card, #1 in the set, was offered by a California seller and drew only three bids. SMR value for a PSA 8 is $11,500. The card appears to have some issues...or it's a really bad scan.
Another seller offered a PSA 8 1953 Topps Mays that sold for just $500 less and nearly matched the SMR value of $7500.
