It's been 50 years. You have to expect that most vintage dealer inventories have been picked clean. Cards stuck away untouched for a generation or so have been bought
(there's always hope, though, right?). PSA has been grading for more than 20 years and having looked at more than 150,000 1963 Topps baseball cards, we can get a pretty accurate glimpse of which cards in the set are truly the hardest to find for those putting together the best sets.
It's why you often see 'common' cards going for big bucks. Those trying to rank high on the Set Registry are willing to spend big bucks anytime one of these babies comes on the market (which isn't often).
We came up with a list of about 15 cards that have fewer than 50 PSA 8's in existence as of today. From that list, comes a group of seven that rank as the holy grails of 1963 Topps commons. Check out the infographic (may take a few seconds to load).
