The autograph pavilion at the 44th annual 2012 Chicago Sun-Times Sports Collectible Convention will mimic the world's busiest airport that sits just a short drive away. More than 90 autograph signers will try to get clearance to land inside the Stephens Convention Center between Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
The show, set to run March 16-18, will have stars, Hall of Famers, former coaches, Mike Tyson and...Batman and Robin.
Mounted Memories, which runs the autograph pavilion, has released its guest list with prices. If you're a football fan, Friday will be a 'can't miss' event with 24 Hall of Famers making their way into the booths including Fred Biletnikoff, James Lofton, John Hannah and Fred Dean. Most are priced at $29-49.
On Saturday, members of the Super Bowl champion New York Giants will join another group of big name current and former NFL stars as well as a few big name basketball Hall of Famers. Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham and Ahmad Bradshaw will sign for $69-89 at the basic level. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will appear with a $99-$199 fee. John Havlicek, Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Dez Bryant, Matthew Stafford, DeMarcus Ware, James Worthy and Frank Thomas are among the other signers on Saturday.
On Sunday,Mike Tyson returns to Chicago, four months and change after his successful visit to the National Sports Collectors Convention. New Hall of Famer Barry Larkin ($79-99 is now the going rate) will appear as well as Tim Raines, Ray Rice, Joe Morgan, Carlton Fisk, Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose, Cal Ripken, Walt Frazier and Jim Palmer among several others.
Rick Barry will be there, too, but you'll have to buy a VIP package for $99 to get him.
There will be five VIP guests signing for $15 including Ronnie Bull and Dennis McKinnon Saturday and Glen Beckert, Frank Howard and Jerome Walton Sunday.
Admission is $10 per day with kids 7 and under $5. The show is open from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 9:30 to 5 Saturday and 9:30 to 4 p.m. on Sunday with VIPs able to sneak in a half hour earlier.
