24 LSU, SEC Championship Rings Still Missing

Law enforcement officers in Louisiana are looking for two dozen stolen LSU and SEC championship rings stolen late last year from a home near Baton Rouge.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public for information leading to an arrest in the case.  The total value of the rings is over $50,000.

BCS National Championship ring 2007 LSUEach of the championship rings, designed for a man, has the name Wagner engraved on the inside and embossed on the outside. Several pieces of women’s jewelry were also taken in the burglary.

Among the pieces taken was a 2007 LSU BCS National Championship ring.

The theft happened in late November, but the sheriff’s office and the victim delayed reporting it in hopes the thief might be caught trying to pawn or sell the rings to local dealers who were told to be on the lookout.

The rings were designed to commemorate bowl games, national championships in football, men’s basketball championships, women’s basketball Final Four tournaments, and baseball championships.

Anyone with information concerning this crime is urged to contact LPSO Detectives @ 1-800-443-7681 or Crime Stoppers @ 225-344-7867.
