2013 Bowman Wrapper Redemption Program Features Blue Wave Parallels

Save your wrappers.  Topps has announced plans for the 2013 Bowman Baseball Wrapper Redemption program.   Collectors sending in either 24 Hobby wrappers, 10 HTA Jumbo wrappers or 36 Retail wrappers of 2013 Bowman Baseball will receive a five-card pack of Bowman Blue Wave Parallels.  Topps released images of two sample cards on Tuesday.   Autographed cards will be randomly inserted in the redemption packs.

Brian Buxton Blue Wave redemptionDon’t plan on sending in wrappers from multiple cases, though.  Topps has again instituted a ten-pack limit per household.  All wrappers should be sent in one package.  Duplicate packages from the same household will not be accepted.

Carlos Correa Bowman redemptionThe free redemption programs developed by Topps been a hit with collectors, who are anticipating the popular Bowman line’s latest edition a week from today or earlier.  If you do find boxes in stores before next Wednesday, though, hang onto them. Any wrapper packages sent to Topps postmarked earlier than May 8, 2013, the official street date, will not be accepted.

Topps says it will fulfill all wrappers submitted until supplies last but hasn’t indicated how many packs were produced.   The 2013 Topps wrapper redemption program included 10,000 packs which were quickly snapped up by wrapper-ripping hobbyists.

This year’s Bowman packs will be sold in hobby shops, online and in Target and Walmart stores.  The set will feature the first Autographed Chrome cards of the top two draft picks from 2012, Carlos Correa and Bryon Buxton as well as autographed Chrome cards  young stars such as Mariners pitching prospect Taijuan Walker.

The 2013 edition also includes Bowman 65th anniversary “Best Bowman Players of All-Time”, Bowman Top 100 Prospects insert, and mini Chrome cards.

Update:  5/14/2013:  Topps reports the 2013 Bowman baseball redemption packs are GONE.  No need to send wrappers at this point.
