2011 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards Released

It’s bigger than your phone book.   Unless your phone book covers mainland China.

The Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards has become the go-to guide for sports collectors seeking in-depth information and checklists in book form and the 2011 edition is hot off the press.

The 20th edition of the catalog features pricing for over one million cards based on recent auction results, according to publisher F&W Media.   The book is a whopping 1848 pages.

Edited this year by long-time hobbyist Bob Lemke, the Standard Catalog features pricing for various condition levels and covers card sets issued between 1863 and early this year including Topps Series One and Two.

Prices  have been updated for vintage and modern cards since the 2010 edition, based on a grading scale.

The book includes 10,000 photos.

The 2011 Standard Catalog is available  Amazon.com.
