Panini’s new HRX video trading cards will make their debut in the late June release of the company’s Totally Certified basketball cards.
The company revealed Wednesday that 204 of the new cards, featuring embedded video will be produced. That number includes 51 cards of each of the players Panini has under promotional contracts: Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and John Wall.
There will be 40 HRX base cards of each player, plus ten autographed versions and one gold autographed version (made with authentic 14-karat gold, according to the company).
Each pack will have five cards and carry a $20 price tag. There will be six packs per box including six autograph or memorabilia cards, two Mirror Red parallels numbered to 499 and four additional inserts numbered to 499 or less. Two of the autographed cards will be numbered to 599 or less.
The base set will include 185 cards, with 35 rookie cards numbered to 599.
There will be five serial numbered parallel sets, including Totally Gold (numbered to 25), Totally Green (numbered to 5) and Totally Black (numbered to 1).
Case hits will include either an autograph of Bryant, Griffin, Durant or Wall, a 1/1 card or an autograph numbered to 5 or less.
