1971 Pirates Reunion Show This Weekend

Long-time collectors and dealers know all about the shows at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh.  Pittsburgh XXXIII returns this weekend with a 1971 Pirates Reunion Show on the docket.

Joining the 250 tables of sports cards and memorabilia will be 16 players and two coaches from the team that won the 1971 World Series, including Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski.

Twenty years ago, J. Paul Sports held a similar show and drew a big crowd.  This year, they’re hoping for a repeat.  Autograph prices are $15 for any player except Mazeroski, who is $35-65 depending on the item.

Admission is $5.00 per day with a three-day pass costing $10.  Kids 12 and under are free.

The Pittburgh Tribune-Review offers a few more details on the show, including a chat with the promoter and one of the players whose Series-ending celebration is etched into the minds of Pirates fans.
