45-Year Accumulation of Sports Memorabilia on the Market

A long-time sports memorabilia collector is trying to find a home for his massive accumulation.

It even has a name.

The Jason Savas Baseball & Football Memorabilia Collection took over 45 years to put together and includes hundreds of pieces dating from the 1860s to the present day.

Some of the best pieces have already been sold at auction, including some old baseball tocacco tins and cigar boxes that wound up selling for five figures.   But there is plenty more for someone with a lot of disposable income or a deep pockets dealer.

The buyer will also need a lot of space.  Savas owns dozens of large pieces including arcade games and large display pieces. There are smaller items, too.

He says the collection is worth $600,000.
